“According to the investigation, on March 12, two 16-year-old boys, being near residential buildings on Kastanaevskaya Street in Moscow, during a conflict caused by jealousy, beat a 14-year-old teenager who was previously familiar,” Ivanova told Interfax on Monday.

She noted that the adolescents deliberately struck the 7th-grader with at least ten kicks to the trunk, including the stomach, “which caused the boy multiple injuries.” For its part, an informed source told Interfax that the doctors diagnosed the victim with a blunt abdominal trauma and rupture of the spleen.

“Upon the incident, a criminal case is being investigated on inflicting grievous bodily harm on a minor by a group of people (part 3 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),” said Ivanova.

She noted that the two accomplices were detained, they were charged and a preventive measure in the form of a subscription on their own recognizance and proper behavior. “The investigation continues to establish all the causes and circumstances of the incident. Relatives, employees of educational institutions are being questioned, and full characterizing data is being collected, ”the investigator added.
