Sunday school class, we recently talked about the story of Boaz, Ruth, and Naomi. God is made happy when we show kindness to others. 2-3 in this, so this served as a great project to preschool activities for january about sharing God’s love with others for all of them. Boaz and Ruth were kind to others.
I please God when I am kind. I love the story of Ruth and Boaz. Their love for each other were so strong. That is such a beautiful and fun craft. Perfect for the story and the age group.
As a teacher and a mom, the real new year starts for me in September when the kids head back to school. In honor of the new school year, I’ve gathered some of my favorite preschool book and activity ideas for each month of the year. Each month focuses on a specific theme, so you can mix and match the books and extension activities. Where Would I Be in an Evergreen Tree? The Littlest Christmas Tree by R. Find 25 more winter books and activities here. My Many Colored Days by Dr.
I’ve included books and activities about both Easter and regular eggs. Find 5 book inspired picnics here. Obviously, this list doesn’t cover all the books you’ll read in a month, but reading several books around the same theme can deepen a preschooler’s understanding of a topic, increase their background knowledge, and improve their vocabulary. I compiled this list for my own reference, but I’m hoping it will also make it easier for other busy moms and teachers to pull books and activities around a common theme. I would love to add to the list. I run a preschool story time at the library. This is going to be a fabulous resource.
I’d love to check it out! What a wonderful resource of fun book activities! Coming by way of Mom’s Library Link Up. I love these books by month! I am a speech language therapist in early intervention and autistic support. It is so exciting to find such a creative list for monthly themes! So much easier than reinventing the wheel! I’m so glad you can use it, Amanda! What a lovely selection of books.
I love that you have one for each month. Thanks for linking to The Sunday Showcase. I’m inspired now to start the school year! Thanks for saving me so much time when prepping for my preschool class! I’d love for you to come share this at our Pinning for Play link party! This is such an amazing resource!
