Scientists: Harassment of fat children affects their entire life
Bullying (simply – persecution) – a phenomenon not new and, unfortunately, common.
As it was possible to find out to experts, the persecution of children for their weight does not stimulate them to lose weight or maintain a healthy lifestyle, on the contrary: with age they become even fuller.
Scientists from the United States monitored the health of 110 children from the age of 12 years. They were asked whether they were being bullied because of their fullness.
It turned out that children prone to bullying gained up to 33% more weight and up to 91% fat mass.
After the initial examination, people were monitored for 15 years. On average, such children gained 20 kg per year, suffered from nervous overeating, and also completely refused any activity.
