Scientists have told what affects the success of IVF
Researchers from the United States have shown that the age of the mother does not affect the implantation potential of embryos in IVF or the likelihood of spontaneous abortion.
According to academicians, the main role in this issue is played by the engagement of healthy embryos.
In the course of the new experiment, an attempt was made to determine whether the age of the mother is having an effect on the implantation potential of the blastocyst – an embryo that develops over 5-6 days.
As a result, it turned out that blastocysts of excellent quality were associated with a very high live birth rate compared with good quality embryos, as a percentage, we have the following picture: 79% to 64%.
As for embryos of very poor quality, the survival rate is 28%.
