Scientists have told, what can be dangerous mattresses for cots
Researchers from the Israel Institute of Technology told about the dangers of children's mattresses for cots.
According to academics, the main danger lies in polyurethane foam – these mattresses are made of this material.
Scientists themselves emphasize that when heated to a temperature of 36 C, polyurethane foam begins to emit dangerous elements such as benzene, acetaldehyde, toluene and formaldehyde.
There are a lot of these harmful substances in mattresses, but the problem is: if the room is not ventilated, then they only increase.
Hazardous substances can provoke damage to the central nervous system, severe headaches, chronic fatigue, weakness and damage to the internal organs of the baby.
