Scientists: Same-sex parents do not affect a child’s gender identity
American specialists from the University of Kentucky believe that there is almost no difference to the child’s gender in the development of a child’s gender identity, brought up by parents of the same sex or heterosexual couple.
About 100 pairs took part in the experiment, both with traditional and non-traditional orientation.
Scientists observed the behavior of children in such families and with what toys they play.
It has been established that the sexual orientation of parents does not affect the development of the gender identity of children.
According to researchers, their results are designed to help lawyers and social workers in addressing issues related to the upbringing of children.
